Hi Neighbors,

The Highlandtown Community Association (HCA) was recently awarded a Clean Community Challenge grant, and we are using the funds to give our local blocks a summer glow up.
We have officially kicked off our Highlandtown Trash Pickup: Summer Series, on June 14th! Twenty volunteers showed up and we removed twenty overflowing bags of trash, garbage, and more?!? That is a pile of street trash that is gone from Highlandtown forever.
Our next event is Sunday, July 5th. Whether you can spare 20 minutes or the full two hours, every bit of help makes a massive difference for our community.

Here are the details for our second cleanup event:

• 📅 When: Sunday, July 5th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• 📍 Where: The residential grid bounded by E. Baltimore St., Eastern Ave., S. Highland Ave., and Grundy St.

• 🎒 Free Supplies: No need to bring a thing. We will have heavy-duty trash grabbers, safety gloves, and contractor bags ready for you.

• 🍩  Refreshments: Swing by any of our hubs to grab water, Gatorade, and breakfast/brunch treats!

How it works:

• On Sunday morning, just walk over to the supply and refreshment hub closest to you:

• S. Highland Ave. & Leverton Ave.

• S. Eaton St. & E. Pratt St.

• S. Eaton St. & Eastern Ave.

• Grab your gear, pick up some snacks, clean up a block, and drop the tools back off when you're finished. It’s that simple!
