Everything is FREE!  The 12th annual Free Fall Baltimore presented by BGE takes place Sunday, October 1 through Tuesday, October 31, 2017.  Free Fall Baltimore is a citywide celebration that offers hundreds of free arts & cultural events at participating venues throughout Baltimore City.  Held in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities Month, area attractions and organizations showcase the importance of the arts with free concerts, dance and theater performances, festivals, lectures, workshops, art exhibitions, tours and special events.  Baltimore residents and visitors can find a full schedule of events by clicking here.  Free Fall Baltimore is produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) and presented by BGE with additional support from The Abell Foundation, Atapco Properties, Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.

“We believe that arts and culture are vital to a thriving community and to our personal well-being,” said Valencia McClure, BGE’s vice president of governmental and external affairs. ”BGE is pleased to help provide access so everyone can enjoy the wonderful cultural programs produced right here in our city.”

Overall, Free Fall Baltimore features more than 200 events & activities from nearly 70 participants. For a full list of participants, click here.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, Inc. strives to mirror the rich diversity of Baltimore City in our staffing and programming while emphasizing cultural equity.  Cultural equity embodies the values, policies, and practices that ensure that all people-including but not limited to those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomic status, geography, citizenship status, or religion-are represented in the development of arts policy; the support of artists; the nurturing of accessible, thriving venues for expression; and the fair distribution of programmatic, financial, and informational resources.
