Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge grant applications are now open for the 2019-2020 School Year!

The application has a rolling deadline. The last day you may submit your application is Friday, November 1, 2019.

What is the Challenge?

The Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge is a grant program for student-led sustainability projects in Baltimore City Public Schools. Students must be a part of an organized green team that meets to complete their project.

Teams just starting to develop sustainability initiatives can apply for up to $1,000.

Teams that have successfully completed at least one Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge grant in the past and are planning on applying to the Maryland Green Schools program this year can apply for up to $1,500.

Teams at schools that are already Maryland Green Schools can apply for up to $2,500.

Support for the Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge is generously provided by BGE and Constellation, an Exelon company. Additional support is provided by the Baltimore Community FoundationBaltimore City Public Schools, and Baltimore Energy Challenge.
