Clean Water Action has been working with Blue Water Baltimore, the Environmental Integrity Project, and Councilman Kris Burnett to hold a new City Council investigative hearing on the City's two assistance programs for residents who experience sewage backups, the Sewage Onsite Support and Expedited Reimbursement Program. Both of these are very underused, and exclude a lot of cases of sewer backups.

To prepare for that hearing (which is not yet scheduled), we're circulating this short survey to learn more about residents' experiences with the City's assistance programs. We're particularly hoping to learn if residents are in fact being notified of these two programs when they report sewage backups to 311. This is really important information for us to communicate to the City Council and to DPW as they evaluate the effectiveness of these programs and consider expanding / improving them.
