Creative Baltimore Fund
The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) is the arts council for the City of Baltimore. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, it supports the arts community through advocacy, arts and cultural activities, and develops and administers funds, grant programs and community workshops. Through the Creative Baltimore Fund, BOPA grants funds to qualified artists, and arts and cultural organizations based in Baltimore City.
Creative Baltimore Fund Grant Programs
Mayor’s Individual Artist Project Support (PS) - provides support of up to $5,000 for projects that promote public access and encourage the breadth of arts and/or cultural programming in the community. Recipients of last year’s award, and descriptions of their projects, are posted below.
General Operating Support (GOS) provides core support for established arts or cultural organizations that benefit the public and are artistically or culturally vibrant. Organizations can receive up to $10,000 for general operating support. Recipients of last year’s award are posted below.
Grant Timeline
Thursday, January 31, 2019 - Application Available online - Apply to the Creative Baltimore Fund
Sunday, March 31, 2019 - Application Deadline at 11:59pm ET
April 2019 - Panel Review
Friday, May 31, 2019 – FY19 Final Reports Due
June 2019 - Grant Awards Announced
July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020 – FY20 Grant Period; All funded activities must occur during the grant period.
Panels
All BOPA grant programs are adjudicated using independent panels of arts and culture professionals from the region who evaluate and score applications. Panelists are appointed through open nominations and serve for specific grant programs and cycles.
Staff
BOPA grant programs are administered by professional staff responsible for ensuring an objective, equitable and transparent grantmaking process that meets BOPA’s mission and core values. BOPA staff members provide pertinent and uniform information to the public regarding the grant application process and ensure that program guidelines and requirements are applied consistently.

Reminder: If you received an award in FY19, to be eligible to receive an award for FY20, you must submit a final report. FY19 Final Reports are due May 31, 2019. Submit Final Report.
